The leading campervan conversion company, Redline Campers, will debut a new model based on the Ford Transit Custom at next week’s Motorhome & Caravan Show.
With a starting price of £58,995, the new Redline GT will be on display at Redline Campers’ stand on Stand 40, Hall 11 at Birmingham’s NEC.
Whilst based on the new Ford Transit Custom, the Redline GT will also be a preview of what will be available on the next generation of the VW Transporter, the VW T7. This is because the new Ford Transit Custom and the VW T7 are being produced as a joint collaboration between Ford and VW.
As VW is moving away from its modular MQB platform and is instead basing the T7 on Ford’s Transit Custom platform, it will mean attendees to the popular leisure vehicle show get to experience the exact model that will be available on both vehicles.
Key features of the model include:
- Thermo-Shield construction with 8mm foil back foam and 25mm Dacron insulation
- Redline’s exclusive GRP twin-polycarbonate elevating roof with aerodynamic, noise reducing front roof spoiler
- Premium roof tent with twin mesh ventilation windows and large front window
- Lightweight precision CNC machined furniture
- RIB Altair 112 ISOFIX Seating and Bedding system with an M1 certified fitting kit
- Pull-down upholstered double roof bed with memory foam mattress and safety net
- Dometic 12V fridge
- Dometic two-burner gas hob
- 45L onboard water tank with external filling point
- Bespoke power management system and wiring loom compliant with BS EN1648
- 110Ah AGM leisure battery
With the Ford Transit Custom already available for purchase, Redline Campers are taking orders for the model immediately.
Meanwhile, the company will begin taking orders for the VW T7 based version of the Redline GT campervan once the vehicle is available for purchase in 2025.
The Motorhome & Caravan Show will be held from 15th to 20th October and the Redline GT will be available to view for the duration of the event.
